I had a wonderful time working with these two and their families. I was lucky enough to shoot the proposal of them up on Old Mission Peninsula last winter. Shawn contacted me and surprised Tonya with a beautiful proposal while I pretended to be a tourist, taking photos of the view. Tonya and Shawn, I wish the best of luck to you. I am so happy I was a part of your wedding and your new life together.Read More »
I sure wish in the summer I had more time to do blogs like these. I’d love to be able to post one for every single event I do. Truth be told, photographers can work 100 hours a week and still not have enough time to do blogs that can easily take an hour or two to make. My goal this year is to do half as many jobs and actually be able to accomplish this. ….and accomplish some family time in the nicest of seasons. In 2014 I wasn’t able to spend much time with my family May through December. This can take an emotional toll on a person. It even makes me wonder if I’ve chosen the right career path. So, having a little bit of time to be able to do a blog, I thought- Which weddings did I really enjoy last year? What was one of my favorites? Where was I at? Who was I with? Did I enjoy my job that day?
This wedding was amazing. Whenever I start to feel the exhaustion of my job, I think about people like these two. Meagan and Adam were such an amazing couple to work with. Their kindness and happiness this day was truly contagious. Up for anything, this bride and groom genuinely enjoyed working with me and having their pictures taken. I’m happy to say that if I can do more jobs like this and work with more people like them, I’ll be a photographer for many years to come. Thank you Meagan and Adam for a wonderful day. I’m remembering being in the beautiful weather, having a great time with you.
Cecily and Scott were married at the Inn at Bay Harbor in Petoskey, Michigan. One of my most favorite places to work, it was the perfect location for such a wonderful couple. It was a hit wedding, and I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it. Thank you so much Cecily and Scott!Read More »
